113 Catchup, or trying at least.

by The Philosophical Fish

December 21, 2013 – Wow, I am so far behind at this. I was doing ok, then I fell completely off the grid. Life has just been so crazy busy. So now that I have a couple of weeks off, and there are ten days left in the month, can I manage to capture the rest of the 113 scavenger hunt? It will mean at least four or five photos a day, but maybe that will be easier than it seems.

A mission.

OK, here are a few for catchup. A couple have been used for the 52 week project, but I figure the crossover is ok since they fit the bill on a few of the challenges.

RemnantsRemnants: One of the things I love about the Cariboo region is the remnants of days gone by. So many little communities have faded into the dusty present. Irrigation once brought lushness to this region. I can remember driving through this area as a child and being able to still find bits and pieces of the old wooden irrigation channels running along the upper levels of the once again parched hills. (#80 A Church or Temple)

Fraser Canyon

Fraser Canyon: I think it’s amazing that the CN railway has withstood the nature of the Fraser Canyon with it’s avalanches in the winter, and it’s constant potential for slides the rest of the year. I mean, just LOOK at those slopes and what is on them! (#26 Railway or train tracks)

Boating on Nitinat Lake

On Nitinat Lake: In this case it was me, this is work! I have such a great job, it’s full of challenges, some of them head-beat-on-desk challenges, but this sort of makes it all worthwhile. (#25 – Someone at work)

47-52-2013: How to Stand Out in a Crowd47-52-2013: How to stand out in a crowd (#28 – Performer/Performance)

44-52-2013: So Exciting!44-52-2013: So Exciting!: I realize this seems to have nothing to do with Halloween, but we moved that day, and took possession of our new home, so it was about the best treat I ever could have received for Halloween…EVER! (#31 – Halloween)

Can you find the real cat?Can you find the real cat? Milo is famous for disappearing, if he finds a shadowed corner, he sits as still as a rock and when we call him, he doesn’t move, not even a flickr. The only way we even know where he is is because his breathing is so awful. (#54: Puzzle or Puzzling)

Blue MorningBlue Morning: This past week it snowed, and I love snow, so I was up early and thrilled to enjoy it when it was still falling and oh so peaceful out. (#23 – Just one colour)

51-52-2013: Winter in the new home51-52-2013: Winter in the new home: Again, I just love the snow and was up before the sun to enjoy the peace and quiet that snow brings to the Lower Mainland. In two ways. One because snow just does that, it muffles everything. And two, Vancouverites cower in terror when the snow flies.  (#64 – Low Key)

Lots more to catch up on yet….not sure if I’ll manage to finish, I still have final exams to mark, but other than that I don’t have a whole lot of things to get done before the year closes….

We shall see if I am successful.

I’d have to find it, and at least I know the snowbrush is somewhere "in" the truck.
