2-52-2013: Tropical Vancouver

January 11, 2013 – When the rain stops, this is simply the most fabulous city anywhere. The weather broke yesterday and the sun made a fabulous appearance today. On my day off no less!

We were tempted to uncover the motorcycles and go for a ride, but it was only +3C degrees out. The first three winters I was riding I wouldn’t have batted an eye, if it wasn’t raining or snowing in December/January, I’d be out. Actually, I rode my scooter in the snow a couple of times too. But after a few years the novelty wore off and it’s just too cold, no matter how much I love riding. Besides, when you are out and find frozen puddles and see frost and ice in the shadows, it means it isn’t really the safest riding anyway.

So we opted for a visit to the waterfront to enjoy the late falling sun. Love, love, love living here.
