December 24, 2012 – It’s time to stop.
All you out there who haven’t finished, it’s time to stop and just enjoy the season. It’s not about stuff, it’s about people. It’s about being grateful for those you are with, for those you have, and for being grateful for those you have lost, because you were lucky enough to have them for the time you did.
And stop and be thankful for people who provide unexpected kindnesses. Our neighbour stopped by this afternoon with a tin of cookies. Usually I bake my heart out, but this year I only barely managed one batch of molasses sugar cookies. I used to give cookies to everyone, so this year I was grateful to receive some since I had done so little.
So stop, and be appreciative.
