November 22, 2012 – The highways weren’t bad until Quesnel, then it was predictably hideous for the last two and a half hours, most of it in the dark with blowing snow. Just another drive North on the 99 in November.
There are those who don’t understand why we drove, but 9 hours gives you time to prepare somewhat. it gives you time to think, and it gives you a bit of time to grieve before you are overwhelmed by the grief of others.
And a horrific period on the highway can provide a distraction, for a little while anyway.
