August 15, 2012 – I am in Kitimat for a few days of work (river seines, egg takes, etc), and the weather couldn’t be more fabulous! I do still love the North, particularly how late there is light in the night sky. The light doesn’t fade to black until after 10pm at this time of year. This fabulous weathered totem pole stands in Centennial Park in town and looks over an ancient and abandoned mini golf course and the city centre beyond.
But for now, I’m too bushed to write much of anything. Maybe tomorrow.

I haven’t tried it but I heard that there is a place in Kitimaat Village that has really good food.
I have heard this too, think I’ll pitch it to the people I am travelling with and see if it flies.
Turns out it was pretty good! The crab stuffed halibut was tasty!
