(178/366) Purple Hazard

June 26, 2012 – A camera, a bottle of crazy purple nail polish, and a white surface are a certain recipe for disaster!

I put the bottle on an overturned plate, set up a white backdrop, checked the drip rate, then turned away to set the camera on a little tripod. I turned around again, grabbed the bottle, and completely forgot I’d left the cap undone.

At the end of the juggling act I looked like I’d been in a battle with an exploding pen, and the pen won.

Where did I put the acetone?

(178/366) Purple Hazard[http://www.flickr.com/photos/ladyrivermouse] Now isn’t THAT the truth! I managed to get it off my skin with the aid of copious amounts of acetone, but the drops that spilled on my white background cloth are now a permanent fixture.

(178/366) Purple Hazard [Explored June 26][http://www.flickr.com/photos/just_mom] LOL! I’m not so sure about that. I tried to get it off my nails and I had to soak them and scrub them with acetone. The stuff stained so badly! I still haven’t managed to get rid of it completely!

(178/366) Purple Hazard [Explored June 26, 2012]Excellent shot. I had to smile, thinking of my flooded kitchen floor, once with water and once with an oil / water mix. Then my speedlight hurtling to the floor as I pulled the remote cable a bit too hard. Sad but true. Worth it a great pic? – well certainly not the broken speedlight.
