May 7, 2012 – Did you play with matches as a child? The pyro gene was strong in my family. I used to love setting up a book of matches on the brick deck and setting it alight with a magnifying glass. And give me a pile of wood out at our cabin and I was more than happy to get a bonfire going. I used to light the BBQ by turning on the propane with the lid closed, and then tossing a lit match in as soon as I opened it.I also used to get in trouble for that pretty often, mainly because it usually made the windows rattle… My brother had it even better though, he found a way to get paid to light massive fires when he was younger. He used to fight forest fires with the Province and I remember him telling me about lighting fire breaks from helicopters and watching vortexes of flame…. his eyes would get crazed and I’d wonder if we should hide the matches. My Mom always loves a good blaze and out at our cabin she would happily drag any and all fallen branches from all over the property into our fire pit so that we could have a big blaze when night fell. My Dad taught me how to properly get a hibachi going when I was still in single digits….
Yes, fire is good. our family liked fire, a lot.

Yes, I played with matches, candles, incenses. I had a bit of a pyro thing going for a while.
