Day 332 - Not January Yet

…so I can still trust them.

I remember a book I came across years ago title “Can you trust a tomato in January? The hidden life of groceries revealed at last”

So many foods I love can be found in the produce section at this time of year, but they are missing one key thing – flavour! These little hothouse campari tomatoes still have a bi of flavour and they got a boost from some fresh basil and some really good quality olive oil and the fresh and oh-so-soft mozzarella married it all together nicely.

I find that the little cherry tomatoes have the most flavour. Not sure if we can get campari ones easily here – I’ll look this afternoon when we go shopping. I have to say that some of the fruit and veg in our supermarket has more airmiles than I do……….

Not so different from here. Quite the international passport in the produce aisle usually.
