303/365 (Oct 30, 2011) – A rainy Sunday called for something different. We were out running errands and I looked at my photo idea list and laundromat was on there. Funny thing is that I had no idea where any laundromats were. Only because I’ve never used the services of one because when we rented, our buildings had a laundry room, and our current condo has in-suite laundry. So off we went to look for one. We found two in the same block. The first was too full of people and we wandered on to towards the next. But before we got there, a man came bursting out the door of the one we passed by and called out to us. It was our former Sensei from karate. What a wonderful case of serendipity! All because we went looking for a photo.

Compositionally, you have made it look like a colonnade – great work.

Another pic that evokes memories – back to when I was newly married and had to use the laundrette on the weekend. I didn’t have my own washing machine for a couple of years.
Such a well composed shot and i like the repetition of the drum doors.

Thank you Karen. The attendant thought I was nuts when I walked in off the street and started taking photos of his machines.
