As this US Coast Guard helicopter circled around we took some shots of it. As it came close overhead (this is as close as it appears, probably no more than about 30 feet overhead) I started to wonder what the downdraft would feel like. A split second later I was almost thrown to the ground! I spun around and put my arms over my head as street pylons and various items on the road became airborne missiles and I was forcibly pushed forward about 20 feet towards the edge of the road and the bank to the water. That was an experience we weren’t expecting when we just stopped to look at a boat moored nearby.
We couldn’t figure out what it was doing in our backyard until we realized it was probably to do with a show being filmed in Vancouver – Matrix.
