Day 158 – A Few Pesos

158/365 (June 7, 2011) – I wandered through Old Town today and did a bit of shopping.

I love listening to the shopkeepers calling for us to come look at their wares – “Almost Free!” they yell from across the street. This is shoulder season for them, very few tourists are around, so there is fierce competition for your attention.

Day 158 - A Few PesosDaring? No. The problems making the news are predominantly in the border regions. Puerto Vallarta is a very safe place as long as you use common sense and don’t do anything that you would consider risky back home. I would say there are places in vancouver that are far less safe than here.
