Day 149 – Waiting for the Tourists

149/365 (May 29, 2011) – We are still waiting for spring to arrive.

I usually start wearing shorts and sandals May 1st. It’s almost June 1st and I still haven’t donned either. Whistler wasn’t crowded, and the racks of mountain bikes stood silently, waiting for riders. Hopefully soon…..

We rode the motorcycles up to Whistler as the day turned out surprisingly nice. The roads were great, but WOW, was there ever a strong wind between Squamish and Whistler that kept us hanging onto the bikes. Exhausting ride because of it. But a fabulous day on the road pushing about 250 km.
