Day 357 – Black-Eyed Santa is Back

357/365 (December 23, 2010) – Last year we acquired Black-eyed Santa, a funny and somewhat tacky Christmas ornament that I grew up with and had disappeared into the depths of my Dad’s stuff for some time. He resurfaced as my brother was clearing things out and he finally returned to the top of a tree last Christmas. The black eye is from when the bulb inside touched the plastic at some point back around 30 or 40 years ago. Everyone probably has a favourite Christmas ornament, this silly black eyed Santa is mine. He certainly doesn’t match the rest of the glittery things on our tree, but that’s just fine by me.
