260/365 – (September 17, 2010) – I started collecting Henckel’s knives before I even left home. My father has always loved a good sharp knife, so did my grandfather, I think it runs in the family, sort of like lighting fires does, but that’s another story altogether.
Dad bought me my first knife while I was still living at home. A massive chef’s knife that is still my “go-to” knife. Not sure what I should read into that.
This is just a bread knife, but I like the serrations on it. Makes for an interesting close-up.

Nothing as dangerous as a blunt knife…. I have a chefs knife that I’ve had since I was a teenager too – no longer used in the kitchen – now relegated to being kept handy in case I need to cut free a rope in a hurry.
