139/365 (May 19, 2010) – I was downtown for an appointment and lunch with a friend. Afterwards I wandered through the mall and over to the Art Gallery. It was nice when I went in, starting to rain when I came out. Kirk passes through the area on his way home from work so we arranged for the pick-up near a Starbucks just off Robson and Hornby. I decided to grab an iced Americano and wait outside at a table. Then the skies simply opened and the downpour started. You’d think I’d be safe under the awning, but several people with large umbrellas thought it better to walk under the awning and cross my table with their soaking covers and dump their load on me and my table. If you have an umbrella, why do you walk beneath the awning?
Three people walked into me and almost tripped over me and several others gave me dirty looks….and I was sitting at a table! It’s not like I planted myself in the middle of the sidewalk!
It’s rain, not battery acid.

Well how wude! I guess they figured that if it was raining, you should be indoors?

And you chose iced coffee…. Looks more like hot chocolate weather to me…

Well they still would have been tripping over the tables and chairs…
Honestly, this came in so quickly…it was sunny and warm an hour earlier!
