I have this insane thing about grammar…..It’s certainly not like my grammar is perfect. Far from it. But there are just some things that drive me crazy, particularly when they are written. It’s not that difficult to ask someone to look something over. You simply would not believe what I get sent from fourth year University students in my courses. Sometimes it is difficult to look past the poor writing to get to the meaning of the paper. It’s also hard to not mark them down for it. I try to tell myself that I don’t teach English…but if I have to struggle to wade through poor writing to mark a paper, how are they going to communicate in the real world when they graduate. Communication is more than half the battle. You can be the smartest egg in the bunch, but if you can’t communicate well…

No, nothing will ever be perfect, but this is a bit silly…..

I saw this sign tacked to a telephone pole on the way out to Inch Creek Hatchery and somehow managed to remember to pull a U-turn on the way home and catch a photo of it. It’s funny, but it also makes me cringe….
