Finger still attached.

My finger is not black and blue, so it appears I have just wounded it mildly.

Today dawned bright, there are clouds off to the North that look less than friendly and the winds have suddenly come up strong in the harbour very early. Very strong gusts are banging the rigging about. We lazed about for quite a long time this morning, we are in no rush now, we have crossed the Zakynthos channel and there are closer places to travel to…if we decide to leave here today. The clouds have moved over us and it is raining lightly. Our neighbours also seem in no rush. It’s a day to laze about apparently. Fine by us.

We have 12 days to get back up to Lefkas, it took us two to get here.

A bit later I find a weather report online. It says 95% chance of strong thunderstorms for Cephalonia this afternoon and evening. We know our anchor is well dug in, and it’s a nice day to be lazy, and there are only three of us left here….so we will stay again tonight and then move on to Sami tomorrow early, hopefully before the charters arrive, and grab a motorbike to tour the island.

The weather shows clear from tomorrow on…but weather reports here are really just a wild stab in the dark….

The internet signal here is funny I can get it down in the vee berth very clearly, if I point the computer towards the starboard side, and don’t breathe much…and if I move…it’s gone. In the centre of the boat, I can’t get anything n o matter how I contort. But on the back deck, where you would think it would be clear, I have to sit and point the computer to the port side…and I get a very weak and intermittent signal. Go figure.

A ferry arrives and starts to make the corner to dock…we hear a car alarm going off in its belly…happens here too!
