As the year comes skidding towards its end I only had a few photos left to take to finish up the 118 Photos in 2018 scavenger hunt. On Christmas Eve day we had a few things to run out and do and we ended up both on Granville Island and in Gastown.
On Granville Island we dropped into the Granville Island Broom Company where I discovered that the owner/operator/chief broom-maker is the daughter of the family owned and operated by the same family in Crawford Bay in the Kootenays, where we bought Mom a wonderful broom many years ago, and which now hangs by our door here at home. “Broomsticks” challenge completed 🙂
In Gastown we stopped outside my absolute favourites shop in the entire world…John Fluevog Shoes. All year I knew that the “obsession” photo would have to be my Fluevog shoes, but this seemed better than a shot of my feet 🙂 I’ve been buying his shoes since the 1980’s, with a major hiatus in between 1986 and 2011…but I’ve more than made up for lost time 😉
I also needed something to fill the “neckwear” category. I was going to make Kirk put on a tie, but then he saw this scarf at a shop next to Fluevog’s, and it seemed more festive and in the spirit of the season.
So, there you go.
One more to go……”…and finally….” A last image to round out the year…what will it be….?
