December 31, 2013 – I did it! I finished. Yes, I was scrambling the last couple of weeks to finish, but I managed. I did do a bit of digging through archived photos, some already posted, some not, but in the end I met every challenge on the list and just squeaked the last one in under the wire.

And, since I am feeling somewhat optimistic, I’ll do the 114 in 2014, and a 52 Weeks again.

Today was a lazy one. A wander into Edgemont Village to pick up a loaf of bread and visit a couple of other merchants. We love that everything is now within walking distance – the butcher, the baker, the greengrocer, a wine shop, and a beer/wine/spirits store. several coffee shops, the library, the pet store, the vet clinic, a bookstore, and a plethora of other small merchants are all just two blocks away. We stopped at the bank to deposit a cheque and found that the proceeds of the sale of the condo have been deposited, so we just can’t think of a better way to say goodbye to the year. It started in sadness, the middle was trying and equally heartbreaking, but in the end it came together and made up for the hard times.

I’ve heard it said that the difficult times make the good ones seem that much better. I planned to write a Christmas letter and get it out in New Year’s cards, but at this point I suppose it will be a New Year’s letter 😉 I’ll put that on tomorrow’s to do list as I have to get a lasagna in the oven.

I dragged Wall-E and Wall-E Jr out for the last shot of 2014.

Happy New Year!!!

Wishing you all a wonderful 2014, may it contain much happiness, good health, and fabulous adventure.

So the final two shots for the year.

Can you spot the difference?

113 in 2013: #16 – Spot the difference (present two images as a diptych with one or more differences to see if others can spot the differences)

Spot the difference!

Taken on the way to Bella Bella from Bella Coola.

Remember, it’s good to look back so you know where you’ve been, but if you spend too much time looking in that direction, you’ll miss the wonderful adventures that are in front of you!

113 in 2013: #67 – Symmetry

And that’s a wrap on the 113 challenge.

Cheers and see you next year!
