Day 279 – The Tree of Lost Soles

Day 279 - Tree of Lost Soles

279/365 (Oct 6, 2011) – It’s been about three years since I’ve been in Port Alberni and I was happy to find this tree still standing out on Central Lake Rd. The other side of the road has been clear cut since I was here last, but this strange monument is still around.

The Tree of Soles

Rather sad that The Daily Shoot is closing down today. It was a great inspiration for photographic ideas and I loved the images posted by some very talented and inspiring photographers. I learned a lot from The Daily Shoot.

Also from today….

This appeals to the fish nerd in me

The Tree of SolesI just Googled it and apparently it also goes by the name "The Shoe Tree" It’s quite the random pop art canvas.
