Day 235 - Almost beyond Hope!

235/365 (August 23, 2011) Nothing much to say today. I spent the full day at the Cohen hearings being quite fascinated with it all. I wish I could spend the rest of the next two weeks or so at the courts since I did some work on the microarray that is on deck tomorrow, and I know most of the players over the next few weeks from my BCPSF work. It would just be fascinating to observe the proceedings and see how it all plays out first-hand. But I suppose I can read the transcripts like everyone else, although it is so much more informative actually being there and hearing the words instead of reading them. It got a bit nastier this afternoon with legal counsel attempting to discredit some of the panel. In my mind the witnesses held their position relatively well, and they didn’t compromise their ethics, so all in all I was impressed. But I know little to nothing about legal proceedings so who knows how things went from a legal perspective, not I.

At the end of the day, home and a quick right at the corner to make the trip to the pub for Tuesday night dinner and drinks with the boating crew.

All in all a pretty awesome day.
