January 1, 2015 – It’s still hard to believe that 2014 is gone, it went so fast that it made my head spin. But, it is what it is and here we are in 2015 now. I wonder what kind of a year it will be….
After a two year hiatus I have decided to do another Project 365. A photo a day, for a year, at least. The last time I took it up I went for three years straight before taking a two year break. The past two years I scaled back to once a week photo/postings, but I have to admit that I’ve missed the camera and I’m not seeing the world, or thinking about it, the way I did when I was doing the post a day.
So, it’s time to pick it up again and continue to work on my camera skills. Seems like the right thing to do after spending $200 repairing my favourite lens, have to justify that somehow 😉
There is an ornamental cherry tree in North Vancouver that I love, and it’s become a bit of a tradition for me to seek this particular tree out every year at this time. It never disappoints me, it’s always waiting with some pretty pink flowers at the beginning of the year.
Yet again…I love living here 😀
Happy New Year!

If anyone can identify what it is….. otherwise I guess I’ll have to go back in the summer when it’s growing again 😉

Very cool shot , best of luck with the challenge
My thoughts were Clematis. it is so pretty.
Poked around in Google after those Clematis hints and I’ll agree after finding some similar fluff-balls. Thanks everyone.
Now I’ll have to go back in the spring/summer to see the flowers and get a photo of the "before" 🙂
Very interesting, and very well captured.
