I had never heard of Elf on the Shelf until last Christmas when I was having a conversation with the manager of the engineering group. I have no idea how it came up, he was probably talking about his young son and how Elf on the Shelf was getting a little R-Rated around his house as he and his wife attempted to outdo each other.
Now an elf has shown up on our floor at work and he seems to be getting into some trouble.
I must admit, I enjoy the dark humour that it brings to Christmas.
